Taking a Stand Within The Politics of The World

Have you ever noticed how everyone seems to be taking a stand on everything these days, except for followers of Christ? We see people boldly advocating for their beliefs, but when it comes to the people of faith, we often shy away from being vocal.
This silence needs to end.
The world is facing immense challenges – war, homelessness, drugs, injustice and overall hardship. Where is the Church in all this? Shouldn't our hearts ache for those lost in darkness? Shouldn't we yearn to offer hope to the broken?
Here's the call to action:
What Side Should We Be On As Christians?
Our loyalty lies with Jesus Christ, not with any worldly side. From this foundation, we take action. Jesus took a bold stance, ALWAYS. His stance was with God and to do the fathers will. So where do we stand? We stand with God and I believe that God would want us to do three simple things
Rise Up in Prayer: In times of war, we don't pick sides, we pray for peace, comfort, and hope for those affected. Prayer is powerful, so let's use it! We pray for the the mental stability of the soldiers, the mental health of civilians, that they can be given a healed mind. We pray for the healing of people, that they begin to see their evil ways, that their eyes be opened. We pray for protection, that Gods hand be in the midst of those consumed by their brokenness. We pray, and we STAND IN PRAYER. As noted in Revelation 6, there will come a day where peace will be taken from the earth. So, while there is still grace, we need to actively tap into that. We need to continue to pray in the spirit and manifest peace in the physical realm. In Revelation, the people prayed in times of chaos, asking the Lord when he will come and take back peace. White robes are given to those that aligned themselves on the right side of war. They sought God in times of chaos because they had the faith to know and understand that in the midst of chaos Christ is still in full control even when it seems like the enemy is winning. Listen, I literally just came out of my own mental war, and Ive been stuck on Revelation 6 for a while and I finally got this revelation to share with you all and to hold dear to in the future.
Stay Informed: Ignorance is not an option. We need to understand the world's struggles to seek God's guidance on how we can help. The word says stay vigilante, for the enemy prowls around like a lion looking for something to devour. Your ignorance, your blind eye, takes away from the disruption that our tongues can cause if only we stay informed. Hosea 4:6 says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Let that not be our story. Let us stay informed. I truly hope that this section of the blog will be utilized as a resource to keep you updated on what's going on in the world.
Get Involved: Don't just be aware, be active! I love Ecclesiastes because it boldly states, there is a time for war and there is a time for peace. When I say war I'm not just talking about the war where soldiers go and fight, but the war on low-income neighborhoods, the war of drugs, the war of homelessness, the war of the single-family pandemic. Once you are aware, you should be seeking God to see where he wants you in times of war. If he gave you a spirit to serve, seek him to see where you can volunteer your time. Maybe he gave you resources donate your time, services, or talents to wherever God has placed it in your heart. Maybe you're a doctor that can provide healing with the talents God has given you, or you're a lawyer and can provide pro Borno services from time to time. Maybe you're a social worker and someone without a voice needs advocating. Maybe you're in the business world and a single mom needs access to financial literacy and resources or marketing to appeal to the masses and spread the word. Maybe you are a leader within a ministry, brainstorm initiatives within your church community, ask God how he wants to use the ministry and where he wants you in time of war. Believers why are we not taking a stand? As I write this my heart aches for our communities. This message is not just for those reading, this message is for me to. I have a passion to help others, yet these last few years I've selfishly blinded my eyes to the hurting world around me. This will end.
Peace Through Action
As Christians, we are called to embody the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We should be taking these qualities and pouring them out into the communities. THIS is a form of worship, THIS is spreading the gospel, this is TRUE discipleship. I want that for me, I want that for you.
My dream is to use this blog to highlight things going on in the world, and hopefully see Christians bring hope, peace, and love to the world. God didn't call us to be silent or inactive. Prayer and action go hand in hand. Let's raise our voices when He compels us to speak, and actively work to make a difference in the world around us.
What are your thoughts? How can believers take a stand? Should we take a stand?
